A quick note from some of our happy adoption families...

We were able to put the cage together after a couple of attempts. They settled quite quickly to their new home. My daughter was at a friends house yesterday and she just got to handle them today. She played some pretty music and sang to them and Kiwi bobbed her head and clicked her beak as she sang. She stopped when the music stopped. So we found out that she loves music. They are SOOOOO tame and love to be cuddled. My daughter is tickled to bits with them. All my kids love them. It is nice to have a bird that does not try to take off your fingers when they get the opportunity. It is nice to walk about the house with them on the shoulder and write on the computer and such. They like to preen hair so it is hard to forget they are there. I forget to ask you for some extra bowls for the cage. I know you have birds coming in everyday and probably need as many as you can. That cage is going to be perfect for loads of rope perches and toys. I am going to get some film and take pics of the budgies and conures in their new homes. I will also take pics of the birds with the toys to show that they are getting good use. Thanks again for the loving additions to my family, Elaine

Just a note of information... don't know how much you remmber abotu the 2 birds I got from you, but corky and Nibbons were just about featherlesswhen I got them from you. corky was the worst shap bird I ahve ever seen in my life/absolutely "NO" feathers anywhere excpet on his head where he couldn't reach them... and Nibbons had feathers sparsely scattered around his body... today Nibbons looks completely normal, with a beautiful peach colored head. And now finally after the many months we have had Corky, he is almost completely feathered now with the fluffy new feathers they start off with, and on his wings and tail, the long shoots are coming out everywhere. His tumor (or growth) on his chest remains the same and is not growing (thank god)  and now, the skin is stretched there, so the feathers are widely spaced apart, but are comming out now quite nicely. Corky spends alot of time out with us daily but Nibbons still remains stubborn about getting on our hands. He seems to prefer just hangin out at a distance.

Let me know how you are doing.
